Canvas is Middlebury’s learning management system, and course sites can be provisioned using CourseHub.

Canvas allows you to:

• Conduct online, asynchronous discussions with your students;
• Provide feedback and post grades for assignments;
• Upload documents, videos, audio files, and more;
• Post deadlines and reminders through the calendar and announcements;
• Manage group work assignments;
• Connect via video conference with individual students, a whole class, or guest speakers.

McGraw-Hill Education Connect is a toolkit of learning resources. Connect provides opportunities for both formative and summative assessment.

Qualtrics surveys are easily set-up as Canvas assignments, making them an integral part of the course. Benefit from all options related to a Canvas assignment like deadlines and restricted access. After completing a survey, the submission gets registered in the grade book. This helps to make evaluations part of the learning experience, and not a separate task to be done after completion of the course.

Teachers can keep track of response rates of surveys using the Canvas grade book, but won’t be able to see the answers students gave. Hereby anonymity of surveys can be guaranteed.
